The Galva High School boys basketball team rallied in the second half, holding Wethersfield to just 16 points, to upend the Flying Geese 48-47 and win the Lincoln Trail Conference Tournament championship Saturday night, the first such title for the Wildcats in 11 years.
After 12 years of leadership, Henry County Historical Society President Roger Anderson is retiring.
“I’ve tried to be replaced the past three years, and I just made up my mind maybe the fourth time’s a charm. If it’s not, I’m out anyway,” said Anderson, lightheartedly. “I’m hoping someone comes forward. If not, we’ll just have to put out a sign saying ‘Closed until we find a president.’”
The Galva Food Pantry received a real Christmas gift in December in the way of a greatly needed new, energy efficient refrigerator and freezer.
