Vicki Massie of the Galva Rotary Club has been named a Paul Harris Fellow, a top Rotary honor, in recognition of her many years of service to the Galva club.

A Galva Rotary member since 1997, Massie has been president three terms. She and her family have also hosted 17 foreign students through the Rotary exchange program.

She’s been involved in every event the Galva Rotary offer annually, including organizing and serving dinner at the Galva Senior Citizens Center, hosting and serving Galva High School students at the Rotary’s annual scholarship banquet, reading with third graders each month and participating in community cleanup events.

Massie has also been a member of the Xi Kappa Gamma chapter of Beta Sigma Phi for 39 years, serving three times as president. That group does extensive community service.

She’s also been a member of the Bishop Hill Heritage Association for three years.

For the past 23 years she’s been treasurer of Williamsfield United Methodist Church, where she’s also taught Sunday school and been a choir member.
