People resist choosing Jesus Christ as their savior for a variety of reasons. One is they think they’re not good enough. That needn’t be, though.
It’s true the Bible says there is “none righteous, no, not one” (Romans 3:10). It also says “all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23).
But the good news is that God will forgive your sins - no matter how bad they are - if you sincerely ask Him to.
In Matthew 9:12, Jesus says “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick . . . For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”
That means Jesus didn't die for those who think they’re too good to need Him. He died for those who’ve blown it and know they need Him.
That applies even to those sins which we might consider just too big to excuse. The Bible says God forgives those, too: “For where sin increased, grace increased all the more.” (Romans 5:20)
If you’ve accepted Christ already, this message can apply to you, too. If you’ve blown it and don’t believe God can love or use you, claim His promise in 1 John 1:9 and move forward: “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
Either way, whether you’re a Christian already or on the road to Him, simply admit to Him that you need Him, and He’ll respond.
He loves to do it - no matter how bad you’ve been.
