Immanuel Lutheran Church, Altona, recently spent the year of 2009 celebrating 150 years of serving the community.

Many events throughout the year gathered the congregation for reminiscing and fellowship.
Joining the list of highlights is a new cookbook, entitled “Divinely Delicious,” featuring recipes provided by congregation members.

The book is a three-ring-bound, padded-cover book featuring over 300 recipes of a wide variety. Several are from the Swedish Dinner the church has served annually in the spring, celebrating many of the members’ heritage. Stream-lined recipes for today’s busy cooks using crockpots or microwaves, as well as more traditional, can be found throughout the pages also.

Books cost $10 each ($15 if mailed).

To purchase, contact Patty Compton at 1308 Knox Road 2400N, Oneida, IL 61467 or (309) 483-6541.
