Mrs. Tammy Lynn Evans, 47, of Altona, died at 12:51 am Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg.

Mrs. Tammy Lynn Evans, 47, of Altona, died at 12:51 am Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg.

She was born Oct. 22, 1969 in Galesburg the daughters of Richard and Sandra Lynn Wick Hartman. She married Eric Evans in Bishop Hill on July 11, 1998.

She is survived by her husband; her son, Michael Fraser of Galesburg; her daughter, Taylor Evans at home; her parents, Dick and Sandi Hartman of Galesburg; her in-laws, Richard and Janice Evans of Galva; and her sister-in-law, Gretchen (Shane) Hickman and niece, Brooke, all of Galva.

She worked as a CNA on the third floor and in Ministry Services at OSF St. Mary Medical Center for over 24 years.

She graduated Galesburg High School in 1987.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist in Galva.

Tammy was very involved with the ROWVA Band Booster Club. She loved being outdoors, fishing, hunting, mushrooming, berry picking and trap shooting. She enjoyed Texas dancing, playing cards and watching movies. She had a great sense of humor and loved spending time with her family and friends.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Pastor Karen L. Martin will officiate. Visitation was 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017 at the chapel. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Altona.
