Galva High School officials have announced the plans and festivities for Homecoming 2017, set for Sept. 18-23.

This year’s theme is “Safari Homecoming.”

Spirit Days will be held throughout the week and here is the schedule of events:

Monday, Sept. 18 — Class Color Day.

Tuesday, Sept. 19 — Animal Day.

Wednesday, Sept. 20 — Crazy Day.

Thursday, Sept. 21 — Adventure/Tourist Day. Coronation and pep rally at 7 p.m. in the high school gym.

Friday, Sept. 22 — Spirit Day. Parade at 2:30 p.m., with the lineup beginning at 2 p.m., and the football game vs. West Central at ROWVA High School in Oneida.

Saturday, Sept. 23 — Homecoming dance from 8 to 11 p.m. at Galva High School. Tickets will be $10 at the door. Sound & Light Creations will be the DJ for the Homecoming Dance. Students can request their favorite artist and song selection in the high school office.

GHS Homecoming court — Galva High School has announced its 2017 Homecoming Court. Voted as attendants by their classmates were:

Seniors — Sophia Corkill, Jerrod Cortes, Emery Hartman, Mason Kaiser, Lauren Landis and Carey Meyer.

Juniors — Brynn Patty and Caelin Foley.

Sophomores — Lexi Morse and Christian Loncka.

Freshmen — Caleste Bricker and Michael Hawes.

The crown bearers are Gretta Wigant and Jeb DeCrane.
