An early arrival is recommended if attending Galva’s Athletic Wall of Fame induction ceremony is in your plans Friday (Jan. 12) night.

The 16th annual induction ceremony will welcome four athletes and one team into the school’s prestigious wall of top athletes and squads.

Joining the Wall of Fame this year are Tom Bulthaus (1991), Samantha Hainline (2008), Megan Tarleton-Keilman (1997) and the late Derrick Glisan (1995), along with the 1970 football team.

Bulthaus, Hainline, Tarleton-Keilman and family members representing Glisan are all confirmed in attendance, along with the following members of the 1970 football team — Ben Anderson, Rick Adkison, Steve Adkison, Coach Charles Ault, Pup Dennison, David Edwall, Wayne Engels, Dan Good, Larry Halsall, Gus Interial, Pat Lee, Scott MacAdam, Coach Dick Martoglio, Kenny Millikin, Lauren Murray, Keith Patty and Warren Werkheiser.

Numerous Wall of Fame alumni also are expected to attend the event. All past Wall of Fame inductees are invited to attend the ceremony.

The Galva boys basketball teams host United in Lincoln Trail Conference action, with the fresh-soph game tipping at 6 p.m. The induction ceremony follows the fresh-soph contest, then the varsity game tips at approximately 7:45 p.m.

Following the basketball, there will be a reception in the cafeteria hosted by the Galva Athletic Boosters.
