The postseason arrives next week for Class 1A and 2A girls basketball teams across the state.

The postseason arrives next week for Class 1A and 2A girls basketball teams across the state.

Galva is part of the five-team field at the Class 1A Midland Regional, while ROWVA and Ridgewood are in the five-team Class 1A Stark County Regional gathering.

Here are the schedules for the regional tournaments at Varna and Wyoming:

 

Class 1A 

Midland Regional

Monday, Feb. 5 — Midland vs. Roanoke-Benson, 7 p.m.

Tuesday, Feb. 6 — Princeville vs. Midland/Roanoke-Benson winner, 6 p.m.; Elmwood vs. Galva, 7:30 p.m.

Thursday, Feb. 8 — Championship game at 7 p.m.

The winner of the Midland Regional advances to the Bushnell-Prairie City Sectional, and plays the Illini Bluffs Regional champ at 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 12.

 

Class 1A Stark County Regional

Monday, Feb. 5 — ROWVA vs. Abingdon-Avon, 7 p.m.

Wednesday, Feb. 7 — Brimfield vs. ROWVA/Abingdon-Avon winner, 6 p.m.; Stark County vs. Ridgewood, 7:30 p.m.

Thursday, Feb. 8 — Championship game at 7 p.m.

The winner of the Stark County Regional advances to the Bushnell-Prairie City Sectional, and plays the Mendon Unity Regional champ at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 12.
