Galva Police were called to Galva Junior-Senior High School twice in the past two weeks, for various incidents.

On Tuesday, March 16, a report of an aggravated battery had been made. School officials said that three students got into a “shoving match and somebody got hit.”

All three were suspended, but school officials declined to say how long.

The ages and sexes of the students also were not given.

On March 10, a report of marijuana on school grounds was made. School officials said the marijuana had been found on a student, as well as drug paraphernalia.

The student received the maximum suspension, which school officials declined to announce.

The matter was turned over to the Galva Police Department.
