The Galva Fire Department was called to a fire in a machine shed May 5 about 3:40 p.m. The shed was located on 300N east of 2350E.
A tractor owned by Willie Stewart of rural Galva had a battery cable short out, according to Fire Chief Denny Tarleton. The tractor received damage. There was no damage to the shed, owned by Pat Cowley of rural Galva.
