A single-car accident north of Galva sent two minors to a Peoria Hospital at 2 p.m. Tuesday.
Erika Becerril, 16, Kewanee, was northbound on the Galva-Atkinson blacktop when her 2003 Pontiac left the road just south of the Page Street extension and rolled over several times.
Becerril and a 10-month-old female were both ejected from the car.
The infant, who’s name is not being released per the Henry County State’s Attorney’s Office, was ejected from the car in her car seat and then separated from the seat.
Galva-Bishop Hill Emergency Service and Kewanee Ambulance took Becerril and the infant to Kewanee Hospital, where Med-Force Helicopter transported the two to OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Their conditions were not known as of noon Wednesday.
The Galva Fire Department, Henry County Sheriff and Illinois State Police all assisted.
The accident is being reconstructed and tickets are pending, according to a spokesman for the Henry County Sheriff’s Department Wednesday morning.
