A Princeville man wearing only his underwear was arrested Friday morning after jumping on vehicles near the Lake Calhoun Golf Course, according to police.

Christopher M. Colvin, 34, of 119 W. South St. in Princeville was arrested about 10 a.m. after police found him outside a Cottage Road residence, according to a Knox County Sheriff’s Department news release.

But before officers were able to take him into custody, he threw an unplugged chain saw at the rear window of a squad car, police said.

Colvin also damaged a mail delivery vehicle and struck its driver, police said.

He was transported to OSF Saint Mary Medical Center for a psychiatric evaluation.

Police said he will undergo treatment at an undisclosed facility and that charges are pending.

The Galva Police Department reported to the Galva News on Monday that it assisted Knox and Stark county sheriff’s officials in the incident.
