Texas woman injured in area roll-over

A Texas woman was injured when her car rolled over west of Galva at 12:20 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16.

According to authorities, Angela Sanders, 31, of Jacksonville, Texas, passed a snow plow on Route 34 about a half mile south of Route 17 when she lost control of the car. She passed the snow plow on the curve and after returning to her lane, lost control and went off the roadway, flipping the 1998 Sunfire on its top.

Sanders was taken to OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg by Galva-Bishop Hill Emergency Medical Service.

Galva and Bishop Hill firemen also responded to the accident, according to a spokesman for the Henry County Sheriff’s Department.

There were no tickets.
