Galva -

Galva School District has successfully reached several goals set by the school board and administration in the past year.

Supt. Dr. James Minick outlined the completed goals at the June 15 Galva School Board meeting. Completed goals included:

*Construct a textbook selection schedule to ensure that no textbooks are over five years old.
*Finalized co-op with ROWVA for junior high boys football, junior high cheerleading, high school boys golf, high school girls golf, and high school boys and girls cross country. A co-op of high school football with ROWVA will commence in the fall of 2010.
*Improve both gymnasiums aesthetically.

“I am very proud of setting and working to complete these goals for a very successful year,” Minick said.

For the rest of the list of goals and more of this story, see the July 2 Galva News.
