The Galva School board met in special session Tuesday night to interview two candidates for the Galva Elementary School principal position.

The candidates also met with the teaching staff.

“Considerations and negotiations are still taking place, and a hire is likely, but not certain for Monday night’s Board of Education meeting,” Supt. Doug O’Riley said Wednesday morning.

O’Riley said 32 people had applied for the position.

The board meets for their regular monthly meeting 7 p.m. Monday in the high school library.
