Mildred H. Drewes, 92, of Olney, died Thursday, January 12, 2017, at Helia Healthcare.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 17 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Wendelin. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Wendelin. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Monday, January 16 at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney.

Mrs. Drewes was born December 6, 1924, in Olney, the daughter of Leo and Ida (Rennier) Kocher. She married Delbert Drewes on November 22, 1945, in Stringtown. He preceded her in death on May 26, 1987.

Mildred "Millie" Drewes enjoyed music and was a great dancer. Dancing was a lifelong passion of hers. She took pleasure spending time with her family and friends. Mildred was a birdwatcher and enjoyed feeding them. She was a Hospice volunteer and a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. 
Mrs. Drewes is survived by her daughter, Norma Woods and husband Larry, of Newton; daughter, June Brown, of Urbana; son, Dennis Drewes and wife Laura, of Cody, Wyo.; daughter, Rose Powers and husband David, of Indianapolis; daughter, Audrey Johnson and husband Arne, of Moorhead, Minn.; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchildren; brother, Ralph Kocher and wife Margaret; brother, Herman Kocher and wife Betty; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant son, Myron Drewes; special friend, Lewis Jenkins; son-in-law; infant great-grandchild, Reed Rudolphi; five sisters; and two brothers.
