Spring has arrived: flowers blooming, grass growing, trees all leafed out - what could be nicer?
We had some rhubarb recipes in last month. We have decided to devote all of this month to rhubarb and strawberries. Hope you enjoy.

*****
Strawberry Cake
1 Duncan Hines cake mix
1 cup water
½ cup crushed strawberries
3 eggs
1/3 cup oil
Blend together. Mix at medium speed for 2 minutes. Pour into a 9 x 13 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.

*****

To core a strawberry quickly, use a plastic straw. Push the straw through the berry from the bottom to the top. In one easy step, the stem is removed.

*****

To eliminate odors in wastebaskets place a sheet of Bounce at the bottom of the wastebaskets.

*****

Crispy Rhubarb Cobbler
1 cup sugar or less
1/3 cup pancake mix
4 cups diced rhubarb
Combine sugar and pancake mix, add rhubarb, mix. Put in a 8” square baking dish.
Topping
1 egg, beaten
¼ cup vegetable oil
2/3 cup sugar or less
½ cup pancake mix
Combine topping ingredients, spread over rhubarb mixture. Bake 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until filling is bubbly and brown.

*****

Tarnished Silverware: Put a dab of toothpaste on a soft cloth, rub it onto the tarnish, then rinse with water and dry with a clean cloth.
