Q: A friend told me that certain people foods are bad for my dog. Is this correct?

A: There are indeed several different foods that are harmful to your pet. Below is a list of common people foods that can be toxic when ingested by your animal.

Grapes, raisins, and currants
Caffeine
Chocolate
Xylitol (sugar-substitute) 
Onions, garlic, chives and leeks
Fatty foods (butter, oils, meat drippings, grease, meat scraps)
