Olney Cubs split games at Fairfield

FAIRFIELD - The RCMS Olney Cubs basketball split a pair of games at Fairfield Thursday. The seventh-grade team won in a thriller, 29-28 and the eighth-grade team fell, 46-22.

The Cubs shot 5-17 from the field for 29 percent; 4-9 from beyond the arc for 44 percent and were 0-1 from the line.
In the seventh-grade game, Chase Travis led the Cubs with 20 points in their 29-28 win.

The RCMS Olney Cubs eighth-grade team fell to 11-6 overall and 2-1 in the Jr. NEC. The Cubs seventh-grade team improved to 12-3 overall and 3-0 in the Jr. NEC. Their next game is at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at North Knox.
