Olney Tigers wrestlers put the smackdown on Carmi

OLNEY - On senior night for Seniors Nathan DeMeyer, Noah Egleston, Paul Shan and Steven Pence. The Tigers sent their seniors off with a 65-18 dominating win in their last match at Ron Herrin Gym as members of Olney Tigers wrestling.
The seniors were recognized with their parents before the match.
Nathan DeMeyer, son of Michael and Nancy DeMeyer, has wrestled for six years. He has been a captain three of those years. He is a three-time sectional qualifier and has 101 career victories for the Tigers. Nathan holds school season records for most major decisions, decisions and technical falls. Nathan ranks in second place in career wins at RCHS.
Noah Egleston, son of Brian and Lesile Geier, has been wrestling for seven years. Noah has been a sectional qualifier and has 48 career victories. He holds school season records for most three-point near falls and two-point near falls. Egleston ranks in 13th place in career wins at RCHS.
Paul Shan, son of Craig and Laura Shan, has been wrestling for two years. He is a two-time varsity letter winner.
Steven Pence, son of Edward and Tamala Pence, has been wrestling for four years. He is a three-year varsity letterman and sectional qualifier. He has 63 career wins and ranks 11th all-time at RCHS.
The Tigers started the evening off with a pin and continued to march on in the dual meet, defeating Carmi-White County, 65-18.
