The AlWood/Cambridge softball team ended its postseason run with an 11-1 loss to Orion in the championship round of the Class 1A Orion Regional on Saturday.

The Aces loss brought their season recorded to 16-11, their best record in school history.

“We had a good season,” A/C coach Lyndsey Jackson said. “We are 16-11, which is a new school record for wins, and we made it to the final round of regionals, which I don’t think the school has done before either.”

Ashley Kruger drove in the Aces’ only run with a two-out double in the fourth inning.

Kylie Speer suffered the loss in the circle.

A/C’s defense committed five errors.
