Spartan girls get back on track

Ridgewood, fresh off its Lincoln Trail Conference Tournament championship game loss on Jan. 23, got back to its winning ways Monday night by downing host Wethersfield 82-73.

The Spartans, who have dropped from 3rd to 4th place in the latest Associated Press Class 1A poll, led 42-30 at halftime and then held off the Flying Geese (6-14, 2-3).

Stephanie Williams led Ridgewood (24-2, 7-0) with 25 points. Amanda Kruger had 14; Ella Teel, 12; Danyelle English, 11; and Jena Peterson, 10.
