Brittany Simpson scored 10 of her game-high 15 points in the third quarter to lead West Central to a 43-36 win over Galva in a varsity girls basketball game at Biggsville on Monday night.
The hosts rallied from a six-point halftime deficit. Simpson went 4-of-6 from the free throw line and added a pair of field goals to help the Heat outscore the Wildcats 19-10 in the period. West Central trailed 19-13 at intermission.
Alex Strom had a team-high 10 points for Galva.
Ashli Burg added 12 points for the Heat.
