Loretta N. Wiley, 92, formerly of Cambridge, died Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Hammond-Henry Hospital long term care, Geneseo. Funeral services were held Monday, July 15, at Cambridge Chapel of Stackhouse-Moore Funeral and Cremation Services. The Rev. Jim Aniol officiated. Burial followed at Rosedale Cemetery, Cambridge. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Loretta N. Hampton was born January 4, 1927 in Kewanee, the daughter of Edward A. and Rose N. (Curl) Hampton. She was educated in Wethersfield schools. Her marriage to Lawrence F. Wiley took place on February 17, 1951 in Kewanee. He passed away on July 1, 1981. Loretta was a homemaker and her hobbies included crocheting (which she taught her daughters), country dancing, puzzles and playing Yahtzee. Loretta was also a member of the Mississippi Valley Country and Western Music Association. Those surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Larry Lorente of Oak Park and Barb and Bill VanDeVoorde of Plano, TX; five grandchildren, Amanda Saxby and her husband Jon Young, Paul Saxby, Sara VanDeVoorde and her husband Ryan Rogers, John VanDeVoorde and Eric VanDeVoorde; and three great-grandchildren, Nathaniel and Maxwell Young and Hannah Churchill. Her parents, her husband, six sisters and seven brothers preceded her in death.
