Pontiac split its singles matches with Central Catholic at the Williamson Field Courts, but the Saints swept the doubles matches for a 6-3 win in boys’ tennis Tuesday afternoon.
Krutil Patel was most dominant with a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 3 singles for the Indians. Rocco Sartoris won 6-4, 6-0 at No. 5 and Griffin Brunner was able to grind out a 7-5, 7-6 win at No. 6.
No. 1 singles player Zach Fellheimer suffered a 7-5,4-6, 10-7 tiebreaker set loss. Rifat Jaoski and Noah Schrock lost in straight sets.
Fellheimer ran into more bad luck in doubles when he and partner Jaoski lost a 7-6, 4-6, 10-8 tiebreaker decision at No. 1.
